Waiting For Godot. . . Like You Never Wanted To See It.
Point being that yeah, having a set is a little silly, but Beckett's been dead for almost 20 years now - putting a set in a play that doesn't need one isn't too bad, as long as the characters and dialog come through. He could certainly be treated worse.

I don't know; I think John Goodman has a tendency to be brilliant in just about anything.
