To combat frivolry in politics and speech:

The losing candidates in any contest should be incarcerated.

This year was, more or less, 2008 in disguise.
I have no greater hopes for 2010.

My shoes just aren't as comfortable as they used to be.

What is any of this for? It's not art.
The future holds more of the same.

Mistake in Reading

The brazen pre-dawn Friday theft of one of the Holocaust's most chilling symbols sparked outrage from around the world. Polish leaders launched an intensive search for the 16-foot sign that spanned the main gate of the camp in southern Poland where more than 1 million people, mostly Jews, were killed during World War II.

At first, I thought the search spanned the gate. In which case the police were not trying very hard. And then, I realized that I am not very bright.
